At their meeting the board members covered a wide range of issues. One main concern was the planning for the ‘future lab’ taking place in summer next year. The general approach as well as the communication strategy are first priorities in this regard at the moment. The other major event in 2021 is the Klingenthal conference – just as the future lab it was postponed from 2020 to 2021. Board members expressed their sadness about not being together on the very day of the meeting as it originally would have been the first day in Klingenthal. The more pleased they were to hear that the preparations for the online kick-off event ‘Zoomthal’ on 8th October have gone well.
As Peter Schreiner and Ana Calvo stepped down as board members recently, another main issue of discussion was the future composition of the board. The remaining board members are actively looking for new possible candidates. Other items on the agenda were the public relations including the next newsletter issue and reports about the CEC thematic group and legal affairs.
