It is with deep sadness that the Board and Trustees of the Inter-European Commission on Church and School (ICCS) share the tragic news of the sudden death of our colleague and friend, Kaarina Lyhykäinen.
For many decades, Kaarina’s dedicated contribution to orthodox religious education in Finland and across Europe has been much valued and respected. As a long-standing and faithful Board member of ICCS, Kaarina enriched our work through her gentle wisdom, experience and humour. It has been a real privilege and blessing to have worked alongside Kaarina for so many years, and she will be greatly missed.
Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with Kaarina’s family at this very sad time.
