Learn to tell new stories about CindeRElla! The fate of CindeRElla – as metaphore for religion in education – is not settled, but yet to be defined! At the Klingenthal conference, we will go deeper into the subject of storytelling and religious education already started during the two online seminars “Zoomthal”, which bridged the gap between the original date of Klingenthal in 2020 and the postponed one in 2021. Now, registration is open for the postponed conference taking place from 18-22 October 2021 at the Klingenthal castle, close to Strasburg in France.*

With a mixture of keynotes and interactive workshops, this conference aims for its participants to learn together and discover new ways of communicating about religious education. Dr Jasmine Suhner, University of Zurich (SUI), and Dr Werner Haussmann, University Erlangen-Nürnberg (GER), will share concepts of public religious education to help participants identify arguments and narratives in place, that can be used to take a stand for religious education. Journalist Lena Ohm, working for the German platform ‘evangelisch.de’, will offer an introduction to communication strategies and modern storytelling and accompany participants in putting these into practice. Concrete case studies as well as the opportunity to tell our stories directly to a member of European Parliament complete the programme. Not to forget a visit to the European Parliament and the beautiful city of Strasbourg!
