Corona puts obstacles in our way but we will overcome them! The bad news: again this year, a face-to-face meeting at Klingenthal castle close to Strasbourg, France, won’t be possible. The good news: Contrary to last year, it won’t be postponed but transformed into an online conference instead. So this October, you will have the chance to learn more deeply about how to make use of storytelling for your cause in religious education.

In his keynote about Public Religious education, Dr Werner Haussmann, University Erlangen-Nürnberg, will reflect with you how to identify narratives in the context of religious education and the public sphere. Journalist Lena Ohm will introduce you to key elements of how storytelling actually works and how to develop a communication strategy. Furthermore, a substantial amount of time is foreseen for interaction and common learning with colleagues from around Europe. Notably the workshop “Tell your story” invites participants to apply learnings from the keynotes directly to a concrete case study.

Klingenthal online
21st October 2021 from 2-6pm CET
(1-5pm UK/IRE, 3-7pm FIN/GRE)
Let's tell our stories - the positive impact of religion in public education

Unfortunately, we can only offer a small part of the originally planned programme due to this different setting. Nevertheless, we are convinced that it is very worthwhile. Regularly updated information about the event will also be displayed here: https://iccs.icu/klingenthal-2021/.

ICCS and CoGREE are looking forward to seeing many of you online! In case of questions, please contact ICCS board member Bianca Kappelhoff via kappelhoff@comenius.de. Thank you!

This conference is co-organised by CoGREE.
