Major personnel changes are taking place within the ICCS board. When longstanding President Dr Peter Schreiner announced his resignation due to his upcoming retirement, substantial change was meant to come for the board and ICCS at large. For many years, Peter had shaped ICCS’ activities to a large extent. The remaining board members were happy to at least start filling this void by new appointments made during their meeting in June.

Heid Leganger-Krogstad, long-term board member from Norway, agreed to function as interim President. A final allocation of this role shall be made during the next year. The board members also welcomed unanimously a new member in their midst. Bianca Kappelhoff, colleague of Dr Peter Schreiner at the Comenius-Institute in Germany, offers her services to the network. Bianca is educational researcher and responsible for European relations at the Comenius-Institute. She will take over the role as Assistant Secretary working closely with current Secretary Tania ap Siôn. With these major changes in official roles in place, board members also agreed on restructuring their overall collaboration concerning ongoing tasks in the fields of administration, meetings, membership, public relations and cooperations.
